Before becoming the famous TV chef, his restaurant near the BBC television centre was frequented by actors and TV related people. His first cookery book, Floyd’s Food, published before he became a TV celebrity, had an introduction written by Leonard Rossiter. His cooking shows are marked by a tendency to consume generous amounts of wine! He has written 23 books to date and his autobiography is called Floyd in the Soup.
