Noisy - due to poorly designed extractor fans and tiled interior, ridiculously overpriced (£28 for lemon sole, vegetables £3 per portion!!!). Sorry, this local will be leaving it to the London set.

New to the area and had walked past the West Beach Restaurant many times thinking we should book a table soon. Managed to get a table there on Mothering Sunday and really wished we hadn't!
If you're planning on taking kids, or you detest the smell of cigarette smoke whilst dining - give this place a wide berth! They have a crazy policy that allows smokers to stand at the bar to puff away - whilst punters (and kids) are sat in the non-smoking table area....only feet away from the bar! It really is somewhere that serves great food - but why should our 1 year old child have to passively breath others smoke is such a decent restaurant.
We won't be returning until this place becomes 100% non-smoking. Instead I'd recommend the Branksome Beach restaurant about a mile away - 100% non-smoking!!
