I just wish i has read a review before i went here.. .... £22 for 2 adults and 2 teenagers... we couldnt believe how appauling this place was ..its a few small rooms of someones house , a few badly made models loads of home made labels and appauling videos.. obviously aimed at small children but appaulingly poor value for money.. and dont get sucked into visiting the terracotta warrious or the teddy bear musem thats as bad... family musems yes run from someones spare room.... the toilet was ok..

Overpriced - £21 family ticket
the exhibition is basicly bits of books stuck on the wall.
Interactive means you can touch some fossils and some paper mache models and read some computer references.
This museums sells itself very well - but it dosn't deliver .

The reality of this place doesn't add up to the hype at all. Ridiculously overpriced (£9.50 for an adult) for what is basically a few small rooms with walls covered with poster work. There is a lot of text, far too much for children to take in easily. The models are not particularly convincing and look old and shabby.
It gets very crowded at peak times, particularly when it's wet and this makes it very difficult to enjoy as the rooms are small.
My children were disappointed, particularly as the advertising for this place gives the impression that it's out of this world and such a fantastic experience.
I would give the place a miss and go to nearby Charmouth or Lyme regis where you can have fun finding your own fossils on the beaches for free and spend the money saved on ice creams.
