Second visit. First time delighted, second time no difference. Superb food, cooked by a chef with imagination, flair and a sure touch, served by cheerful and obliging staff. Two-course lunch at £11.95 was a 'steal' with this quality of menu, just sorry that we did not make it to the bread and butter pudding which was doubtless masterly. This is a polished operation, and I do not just mean the cutlery, glasses, and table top. Good to see the locals lunching here, a sure sign of consistent excellence, and you can't say that about many places. Highly recommend it.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening! The atmosphere was particularly welcoming, and the restaurant had lovely decor! The service was particularly efficient and as for the food.... we had tiger prawns with garlic which were melt in the mouth - absolutely delicious! For main we had fillet of beef wrapped in pastry, which was cooked to perfection! This was accompanied by a fine house wine! 10/10! If you are looking for a relaxing evening with great food and wine I definately recommend Banks!
