A new manager called Barry has taken over (looks like penfold) and he has destroyed the professionalism! The locals simply do not like him and neither do the staff! I hope the owner Greg will soon realize! Steve and Barbara once managed this establishment and all was 1st class! Barry says he owned the boat inn (a local common house) and does nothing but lick up to Greg!

I ate at the Inn this evening, I sat down to eat at 7.15 pm and left at 8.15 pm. I had been served two courses in this time, returned one as unacceptable, received an extremely poor replacement, paid, and waited 15 minutes for a taxi. The relationship between the menu and food is somewhat distant. Whoever it was that decided rump steak should be served 3mm thick and, although apparently bought fresh, also obviously kept in the freezer for at least a month, ought to explain themsleves to Gordon Ramsey. Suffice it to say I will not be dining at the Inn again, as indeed the waiting staff said to me as I left.

A party of 7 of us went to Caedby Inn for s special meal on 13 September 2008. The food itself was fine but it was marred by very slow service and one of our party had to wait a very long time for a side order of carrots and her dessert. The restaurant wasn't busy and whilst we would go back, the service definately needs some attention.

Four of us lunched there last Saturday. The food was excellent and well presented. It was our first visit since last August and there had been a noticable change in the quality and variety of the food on the menu. A clean and friendly atmosphere in superb surroundings. Good value for money at less then £15 per head including drinks.
