My friend and I booked a mid week break and had a great time food was lovely so was the dining area, our room was clean and tidy it was in the old house. We booked a spa afternoon it was everything we expected. Joined in the archery, rifle shooting, fencing and dancing had a laugh and enjoyed every minute. Evening entertainment was good but more variety needed got a bit same towards end of the week.

I really liked the look of this place for a weekend break and wanted to enquire and take a look around at the same time.....Went on a Sunday and took my fourteen yr old son to reception with me. I was taken by suprise by the curt attitude 'we dont take children'! Even after that I thought it may be a good idea to take a look around for maybe a childfree weekend.. The receptionist said it was not possible as they did not do that. Seems like the staff dont really know how to promote business!

think hard before you attend this poorly staffed and arrogantly managed spa hotel. I went for a birthday spa treat and I can say it's the worst hotel i've stayed in. We arrived early as we'd pre-booked spa treatments - to be told we couldn't book in and had to wander round with our luggage like refugees. The spa reatments were expensive but poor - the hot stones and mud baths were pathetic - nothing like the video visited: April 2006
