Looked like a cosy pub for a rainy day and once inside the warmth of the staff confirmed this was a good place to be - even on a sunny day ( we sat on the patio and bleached in the unexepected sun). Beers and shots in good order with knowledgeable staff, food ranged from low to high in price, we had both ends on the menu (amongst 8 people) and found all dishes tasty/ good value and from soneone who knew about flavour (new chef?). Will be going again for sure. Ladies toilet was pristine according to the other half whilst blokes had the basic for the job in hand!
Four star in my book.

A pub for a drink, not for food is my advice. Food poor. Only one veggie option, which was unimaginative. My partner had a meat dish - the meat cut was poor. Meals luke warm, value for money poor. Toilets disgusting.

The is a great place to lunch if your walking in the Cotswolds or simply holidaying in the area. The food is very good, there is a nice selection of beers, but the main thing is the staff and management are warm and welcoming. Its a lovley old pub with open fires and stikes that difficult balance between retaining old character whilst embrassing the modern gastro pub idea.
Highly recommended!
