Nothing like it for miles around. Booking essential at weekends. Beautiful decor, great food, charming people, dogs welcome in bar area. Brilliant for a quiet informal bowl of soup or for a fabulous 3 course meal for a special celebration. Mixtures of ages, which is great. Bus stops in front. Lower Derwent Valley with lovely walks, a stone's throw away. At last this pub has got the right landlords!

We visited the Jefferson Arms for the first time on the recommendation of some good friends of ours and we have to say we were not disappointed in the least.
The food was second to none, the choice of beer and wine, excellent and the hospitality throughout our visit was friendly and efficient, special thanks to Laura who made us sincerely welcome from the moment we walked through the door..will we visit again? DEFINITELY.
We recommend you do too..
