This is such a wonderful site - we found it by chance 5 years ago. The views are beautiful, overlooking the bay - ideal for ayone with a dog as there is a huge field, on the point where your dogs can have a really god run. You can walk locally around the bay to Kippford, where there are two good pubs or even just a short drive away. Plenty of lovely villages and towns - the most notable town is Castle Douglas - the food town. Plenty of good local butchers, fruit & veg, bakers or if you really need to - two supermarkets.Or Drive up to the Galloway forest -where we have seen Kites, and even come face to face with an adder just basking in the Sun!!
I would recommend this site and area to anyone. We go back at least once a year, but if we can more!
