It was wonderful to find a dog friendly pub on a rainy day in Hayling Island. The staff were welcoming and friendly but the food and cleanliness let it down. The toilets were horrible with dirty finger prints on all the doors and handles and the food wasn't much better either! I had a warm chicken and bacon ceaser salad which you would think you can't really muck up? However I received a mixed salad of iceberg lettuce, shredded carrot, shredded red cabbage, tomatoes, cucumber, olives and chicken (I think from a ready fresh pack from Tesco's)and croutons which were fat fried bits of bread (YUK!. The bacon didn't arrive on the salad and when we asked for it, it came out 2 mins later after being fried in chip pan I think ?! The bacon and croutons were inedible :-( and there wasn't a leaf of Cos lettuce in it! It was the most bizarre Ceaser Salad I have ever had! The cheesy chips were great though :-) I won't be going back though.......

Had a great evening last Saturday. Good pub food at a reasonable price followed by live music with the Superheroes. Brilliant!

Four of us turned up late on Sunday afternoon and asked if they were still serving lunch. The lady said yes as were just eight minutes from closing the kitchen, we all ordered a lamb shank roast and took our drinks out to the garden while lunch was being cooked. We were very politely called when it was ready. They couldn't have looked after us better and the food was first class. We shall all return again soon. Brilliant!
