After visiting The White Swan for the first time on 28th August 2011 I was very pleased with the food and service. When I went back on 18th September 2011, I was very disappointed. The Meat Pie had very hard pastry and the meat looked an awful dark colour. I could not eat it and sent most of it back. I ordered the Bread & Butter Pudding and when that srrived it was Rhubarb Crumble! As I was in a hurry to leave as I had an appointment, I ate it, but again disappointed as there was hardly any rhubarb and very "stringy". When paying I told the waitress about the meat pie, she just said "sorry about that". My wife telephoned the chef Karen on the Monday(not there) and Tuesday, she said she had been very busy Sunday, (I didn't see that many people in there)and no one else had complained about the food that Sunday. After my wife had put a complimentary report on "Pubtopia" on 28th August, she now wishes she could have it removed, and we will not be going back to the White Swan, North Quay, Great Yarmouth, again. Mr. Ivan Buckle.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at Great Yarmouth and had two wonderful, fantastic meals at this pub. My two young children were made to feel very welcome and they even halved an adult meal for my eldest. My partner loves his mixed grills and said this was the best he had ever had. He had the same meal on both occasions, it was that good. The overall pub was fantastic. You must go!!
