Our first trip to the Lakes and it will not be our last.
This guest house deserves to be a 5 star rating!
It is truely beautiful and is perfect in every way.
The rooms are loving restored and modernised, a difficult balance to achieve but achieved to perfection.
You have got to sleep on one of these beds to know what a good nights sleep is.
Every thing you could wish for is in your room and all finished to a very high standard.
The breakfast is excellent and the service is top notch too.
It is set in a quiet location, just off the M6, but within very easy striking distance for all the Lakes has to offer.
All in all a gem - and a fine tribute to our very aimiable hosts.
We will certainly return later in the year.

This was a lovely guest house when we visited in August 2005, and now in April 2006 the new rooms have been opened and it is even nicer!
It is very easy to find, being 1 minute off the M6 and yet is in an idyllic location - a really beautiful part of Cumbria, with quick and easy access to the Lakes and surrounding areas.
Linda and Philip give you a warm welcome - they are both very friendly and love to chat with you. We were impressed that they remembered us from our first stay 8 months earlier!
The two rooms we have stayed in are luxurious, spotlessly clean and full of character, as the owners have made a fantastic job of this barn conversion.
At a maximum of £35pppn, this is money well spent, as the rooms are spacious and beautifully fitted out and we got one of the most comfortable beds ever (and certainly one of the biggest in any of the numerous B&Bs we've used over the years). Plus a delicious and plentiful breakfast!
All in all this is definitely on our list of guest houses to revisit regularly.
