Good Points: Conveniently situated near M6, very good value for money. Staff helpful and friendly.
Bad Points: On the second visit, a week after the first, the hotel was very busy and it was difficult to 'self-serve' at the breakfast buffet but no other quibbles.
General review: We enjoyed our stay and slept well. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was courteously served and again - very good value.

Bad Points: The Norfolk Hotel is tired and in need of complete modernisation. The room decoration was terrible, the towels and bed linen had holes in and were worn out. The double glazing is completely inadequate which made sleeping very hard due to the incessant road noise outside (the room was first floor at the front of the hotel). The TV worked but only just, poor picture and poor sound quality. The ensuite fittings were falling off the wall, the shower hose was in a poor state and the shower head bracket did not hold the shower properly. All in all a horrible room.
General review: Had I know what a poor state of repair the hotel was in before booking, I would not have come. I will make a point of never staying in this hotel again unless it has been completely refurbished. I cannot recommend any aspect of this hotel at all. Please spend some money on the hotel, it is in a deadful condition.
