What a meal!
I had the pleasure of being in a party of six eating at The Sands one Sunday evening, & the meal was superb.
The variety in the mezza was a delight to the taste buds, & the portions extremely generous. After the main course we couldn't resist sampling the wonderful selection of Lebanese sweets, although our waistbands were already straining!
The restaurant has a selection of Lebanese wine, & we had several bottles of a very enjoyable red. The manager was very knowledgeable regarding the food & wine, being Lebanese himself.
The wonderful meal & pleasant, helpful staff, in calm comfortable surroundings, made the evening an absolute delight.
I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Opted for the Mezze for 4 - this was a mistake. The Mezze dishes were good, both cold and warm but the main course was very disappointing - basic grilled meat. Having worked in the mid-east for the last 20 years I know how good Lebanese food can be; this was disappointing. The service was reasonable albeit slow. I generally don't like cover charges - if the service is good I will tip generously; if there is a cover charge I will not tip at all.
