I was at this hotel during the stay of the last reviewer, (Frank) All I can say is that the staff were extremely helpful and polite. The rooms were clean and well stocked, and in addition I was in the bar on 2 occassions that the afore-mentioned reviewer was, and the staff were not "surly" or "rude", actually he was very rude to them when all they tried to do was assist him!! A very nice place to stay.

This hotel gets my vote as the worst hotel 2009. I stay in about 50is hotels a year for my work. This is the worst one this year.
The rooms are tatty in bad repair and badly insulated from the noisy pub, night club and traffic. I can’t comment on the food as breakfast is at 9:30 far too late for anyone who needs to work
The staff are sullen and rude and can do nothing till the manager comes in at 7.
The accommodation is what you would expect from a cheep 1960 boarding house
