I had never been here before so had an open mind as to what to expect. I was with a friend and as she does not eat red meat we were unable to take up their offer of two steaks, trimmings, carafe of wine all for £20.......On entering this establishment we were greeted with some of the locals who just turned round and carried on talking amongst themselves. My friend was already there and so I ordered a drink too. I ordered the fish pie with green beans. It was ok not much seasoning, tasteless but good amount of fish, but the beans were cold, what little there were!! My pudding was the Banoffee Pie which was still partly frozen. We were privileged to be in earshot of a local using four letter words although one did apologise to us....but there should not have been the need to in the first place!! Later there were more locals who proceeded to sit and either have a drink or meal, they kept on going outside and leaving the door open, obviously to have a smoke. The guy behind the bar then gave us our coffee. I went to the cloakroom which I have to say looked tired and dated as did the rest of the place and I could not wait to leave....I certainly would not recommend this place for a memorable dining experience, yes it was memorable but for all the wrong reasons! I will not be making a return visit as it is not the place I would choose for a meal ever again!!
