Beautifully restored country inn offering a good selection of real ales. I last visited the grapes inn three years ago and frankly it was a disappointment however new owners Catherine and Leigh have done a fantastic job in restoring the pub, the interior is something special and of special interest is the bar which is reclaimed from another pub yet looks as if it was built for the place. Highly recommended friendly efficient staff. If you enjoy a quiet drink in a warm, spotlessly clean, friendly and tastefully appointed traditional pub this is the place. A must for Guinness fans. Food available very soon present high quality format suggests it shall be a winner.

Newly opened and totally transformed the Grapes Inn is a stunning pub with beautiful old pub tables, antique chairs and lamps and all done in the very best possible taste with a brilliant eye for design. It's modern design meets good old fashioned cosy pub and the food will be to die for (start doing food in Sept but I got to taste some of what's to come)...be sure to visit if you are in the Slingsby/Castle Howard/Hovingham/ North Yorkshire area...very worth a drive to. I loved it and the locals are already raving about it.
