Average service, we were seated and our drink order was taken with our food order even though the restaurant wasn't that busy. The food was better than average, although the rice portions are ridiculously small. When asked at the end of our meal if everything was ok. I did mention that I thought the rice portions were small. The waiter responded by saying that the chef had made the portion small as many customers were not eating all the rice. I did mention that the amount of curry provided doubled the volume of the rice provided and we both had to order another potion of rice. I also indicated that if the chef had decided to make the rice portions smaller due to his concerns of wastage then shouldn't the price of the rice be also reduced. Anyway, the waiter thanked me for my feedback back it was clear that it was wasted on deaf ears. I've eaten in a lot of Indian restaurants and only seen this tactic in one other restaurant. Basically, it's a cheap tactic to squeeze more cash out of the customer. Had the waiter/chef been really concerned about wastage then they should have been more than happy to top-up my rice without charge, needless to say this was not offered, even after my complaint. Disappointing, this restaurant is not service driven - My advice try one of the restaurants in Cardiff Bay/Central. Ambiance: 8 out of 10 Service: 3 out of 10 Seating room: 4 out of 10 (4 on a table will be a squeeze!) Food: 6 out of 10 Rice Portions: 0 out of 10!
