It was over 100 years ago that three delver's cottages were converted to form a public house. Adding to the original stone walls and oak beams, sympathetic extensions have enhanced the original buildings to provide The Hobbit with 14 bedrooms, Bistro, Restaurant, 2 bars and 60 space car park.
The Hobbit has gained quite a reputation for its excellent home-cooked fayre with a wide selection to choose from including traditional, continental and vegetarian meals or help yourself from The Carvery.
Murder Mystery theme nights are very popular and we would be delighted to welcome you to a Medieval Night or other themed events with a disco and late license on a Friday and Saturday night.
Bedrooms at The Hobbit are comfortably furnished in a homely cottage style. All rooms have en-suite facilities, direct dial telephone and satellite TV. Make your own tea and coffee with the luxury of fresh milk.
For guests with children family rooms are available, with adjoining doors for more privacy.
