Set in the grounds of impressive Rous Lench Court, where Oliver Cromwell dined before going into battle with Charles II, these two delightful cottages have been created from the tasteful conversion of a fascinating range of old buildings. This is the ultimate spot in which to relax and unwind – visitors are welcome to roam the 41 acres of mature gardens and parkland, a lovely setting for a large lake that is home to abundant bird and wildlife. Mellow Cotswold stone villages are nearby and the charming town of Evesham (4 miles), its arched bridge spanning the River Avon, boasts excellent shops. Stratford-upon-Avon, Worcester and Cheltenham are all a short drive. Pub 1 mile, shop 2 miles.
