Just returned from a fab weekend at the Battlesteads Hotel in Wark. Great hotel - clean, spacious, good disabled facilities. The food is fantastic, good real cask ales are available, and with the recent addition of a large conservatory on the rear of the restaurant and upgraded outside terrace it really is a lovely, relaxing place to stay. Richard and Dee (the proprietors)and their staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The improvements they have made to the place are a credit to their hard work. We will definitely return.
