I booked a table for 10 in Feb 2007. The table was available on-time, and laid out with coloring activities for the 3 children in the party. The service was friendly and prompt.
The starters available were typical of an italian menu. I ordered sardines, these were served warm with salad, lemon and dressed with oil & vinegar - so far so good.
For a main I chose fillet steak, this was extremely disappointing. I asked for rare and was presented with overcooked shoe leather. The cut of meat was sub-standard for a fillet and overcooked to point far beyond well-done.
On the plus side those of the group who ate pasta did fare better. Many of the group chose bolognese or similar dishes all of which were well received.
Drinks are reasonably priced (under £3 a pint or £15 for a reasonable table red)
Would I recommend. Yes, but check your bill (previous over charging Dec 2006) and avoid anything off the grill unless you really don't care how over-cooked your meat is.

The waiteress was quick to sit us down and take our order which was great. We thought it was great too, when she bought a pot crayons for our son to colour with, until I noticed some chucks of broken glass in the pot. Immediatley, I called the waitress and gave her the pot to take away. A minute later she bought the pot back. This time I was not taking any risks with my sons lovely fingers, so I tipped the whole pot out onto the table. Before I even started to tip it out, I noticed some chunks of glass still there! Obviously my sons well-being was not that much of a concern to the management!
Added to this a wrong drinks order and 'optional service' on the bill all together, we will NOT be going back.
