my daughter came out of Homerton Hospital after having major surgery
and was told to go to her doctors to get her dressings changed. She made appointment for the nurse on 25 April 2013 when the nurse removed the dressing she was then informed that she did not have any dressings to reapply and was covered with a gauze dressing and surgical tape and gave her a prescription for the dressings and told to come back Monday/Tuesday and theses have now been discontinued and she had to buy her own. My daughter then said she would need painkillers and was told that the first appointment she could have would be 7th May with the doctor and just to phone everyday incase there were any cancellations. I think this ridiculous that in this day and age that a surgery has no dressings and someone in real pain is given no relief.
This practice is nothing more than a joke and should be reported to the medical council
