MY WIFE AND I ATTENDED PAPA NINO ON RECOMMEDATION.UPON ARRIVAL THERE WERE A NUMBER OF PEOPLE WAITING TO BE SEATED AND WERE BEING ADVISED TO GO TO THE PUB OPPOSITE UNTIL THERE TABLE WAS READY. WE WERE SHOWN TO OUR TABLE, NEAR THE WINDOW AND DURING THE MEAL WERE PESTERED BY LITTLE FLIES WHICH HAD CONGREGATED AROUND THE WINDOW LIGHT. MY WIFE HAD GARLIC MUSHROOMS TO START WHICH CAN ONLY BE DESCRIBED AS MUSHROOM SOUP,AND TASTELESS. SHE THEMN HAD SCALLOPS IN A CREAM AND GINGER SAUCE, AGAIN MORE LIKE A SOUP, BOTH DISHES SWIMMINNG IN THEIR RESPECTIVE SAUCES. MY STARTER OF SCALLOPS WAS NICE, THE BEST PART OF MY MEAL, HOWEVER MY FILLET STEAK IN PIZZAOLLIA SAUCE WAS JUST OK. STEAK COOKED AS I WANTED BUT THE SAUCE WAS VERY BITTER TASTING. WE DIDN'T BOTHER WITH DESERT. UPON BEING PRESENTED WITH THE BILL WERE WERE ADVISED BY THE STAFF ONLY CASH OR CHEQUES WERE ACCEPTABLE,NO CREDIT CARDS. I THEREFORE HAD TO GO TO THE NEAREST CASHPOINT IN ORDER TO PAY THE BILL. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT AND DIDN'T LEAVE A TIP.
