Bridge Cottage is situated approximately 4 miles from of Oundle – home to the famous Oundle Schoool, 10 miles down the A1 from Stamford and Burghley House where the well known Burghley Horse Trials are held every year and 8 miles from the centre of Peterborough – very convenient for the East of England Showground. We are also within 15 miles of Rutland Water – wonderful sailing facilities. There are numerous walks and cycle paths from the house, public footpaths leading to either Fotheringhay, Southwick, Bulwick, Apethorpe, or Nassington – through woods and across fields or within close range of Fotheringhay Church and Castle, Southwick Hall, Blatherwyke Lake and Barnwell Country Park.

Sit down by the Willowbrook on a glorious summer evening and admire the beautiful rolling countryside all around you. The cattle gaze at you from across the stream whilst you can unwind from the stresses of daily life watching not only the swans on the brook, the kingfishers whizzing up and down, the red kites in the skies above – this is the setting of Bridge Cottage which Rod and Judy have transformed into a beautifully renovated Bed and Breakfast. Guests are made to feel welcome from the minute they arrive, and during the year can appreciate a calm, quiet, relaxing environment from the comfort of the new conservatory at any time of year.

Children and dogs welcome – under supervision! Beware of the stream but enjoy the summerhouse, the pretty garden, the views from every bedroom and the fantastic breakfasts that Judy manages to create every morning of your stay – not to be missed!
