We are a short drive from Scotch Corner making it an excellent stopping place on the journey between Scotland and the South. Piercebridge is a charming village on the site of a Roman Fort on Dere Street, the supply route from York to Hadrians Wall. The Dales and historic cities of Durham and York are easily accessible. You are welcome to relax in the riverside garden and enjoy the birding and wildlife. Local and organic produce offer delicious breakfasts.At the George we pride ourselves on offering excellent accommodation, providing our customers with the highest standards of hospitality in a quaint cosy atmosphere, while at the same time offering good value for money.PLEASE NOTE: Check In is fom 14:00 to 22:00.
