Mark Lewis Francis

In a sport that often seems to ignore the Grafters it is easy to forget how difficult it is to reach the finals of a 100m sprint. However the Walsall lad decided to pull out perhaps the performance of his career to win silver behind the only white man thus far to run a sub 10 second 100. And for this and for the many years of aching disappointment Mark Lewis Francis is our hero of the week. Proof of the triumph of good honest effort
