Henry VIII

In the week when we remember the 500th anniversary of our most famous ruler becoming King we should remember that, despite his failings, Henry laid the foundations of the future British Empire and made this country great. The methods may have been unpalatable but his two chief Legacies - the Navy and the Church of England changed the course of history for the UK and enabled us 200 years later to be the words only super power.
